About the Falchion Knife
Look, animation and handling
The Falchion is a short, aggressively curved blade with a clipped point and a plain straight handle (no finger ring like the Karambit). In-game its draw and inspect animations perform a one-handed flip: the knife rotates forward and is caught back in the hand, a snappier routine than the Bayonet or Gut Knife. Because the blade face is broad and flat, fade-style and gradient finishes read clearly on it, while the curved spine shows wear and patina patterns prominently. Hitbox and damage are identical to every other CS2 knife; the choice is purely cosmetic and animation-driven.
Finishes it carries
The Falchion uses the standard knife finish library. The plain Vanilla (no paint) version is the entry point and trades on the bare-metal blade shape. Gradient and high-value finishes include Fade, Marble Fade, Doppler and Gamma Doppler, the latter two carrying the rare phases (Doppler Sapphire, Ruby and Black Pearl; Gamma Doppler Emerald). Pattern-driven finishes include Case Hardened (blue/gold placement varies by seed), Crimson Web (web count and centering matter), Tiger Tooth, Damascus Steel, Ultraviolet, Bright Water, Slaughter and Blue Steel. The cheapest finishes are the plain camos: Safari Mesh, Boreal Forest, Forest DDPAT, Urban Masked, Scorched, Stained and Night, which are usually the floor for a finished Falchion.
What drives value
Finish does most of the work, then float and pattern. A high-percentage Fade (toward 100% fade) and Marble Fade in the sought 'Fire & Ice' style command premiums over standard examples. On Doppler, the phase decides price: Sapphire and Ruby sit far above the common blue/black-tip phases, with Black Pearl in between depending on coverage. Gamma Doppler Emerald behaves the same way. Case Hardened value hinges on the seed/pattern (blue concentration on the blade), and Crimson Web depends on a dense, well-placed web on the playside. Because the Falchion is a budget model overall, even its top finishes generally cost less than the same finish on a Karambit or M9 Bayonet.
How it ranks among knives
Among the cheaper models the Falchion competes with the Gut Knife, Shadow Daggers and Navaja Knife. It is typically priced a step above the Gut Knife and Shadow Daggers because its flip animation is more popular, and below the mid- and high-tier models (Flip, Bowie, Huntsman, Bayonet, then Karambit/M9/Butterfly/Talon/Skeleton). For players who want a knife look on a tight budget but dislike the Gut Knife's plain swing or the Shadow Daggers' dual-blade style, the Falchion is the usual pick.
